One of the most gratifying and fulfilling experiences is realizing that you made a difference in someone's life. The true beauty of the Friendship Circle is the interaction between volunteers and the children with special needs, only your friendship can make a positive impact on someone's life and make a powerful statement to the world. Volunteering with The Friendship Circle is a significant form of community service and our teens take pride in their role as mentors as well as being part of this seamless circle of friendship. Our volunteers gain as much, if not more than what they give to the children and families in our program. Volunteering with the Friendship Circle is definitely an experience worth exploring.
The foundation of our organization revolves around home visitation. Upon completion of The Friendship Circle training session, volunteers can choose to partner with another volunteer and visit a child’s home on a regular basis.
"The Friendship Circle is a beautiful name for this organization. The idea of a Circle of Friends is one thing, but the idea that the joy and happiness evoked from the Friendship Circle can affect not only our wonderful friends but also our volunteers. That is something that is truly unique."
"If you’re here as a prospective volunteer, I can’t even express to you what an awesome decision it is to become involved with Friendship Circle. You’ll meet some of the most amazing people and you’ll work with other teens that will teach you more than you can ever learn in a classroom."
